Find a comfortable position and take a full deep breath. Check-in with your body, moving your shoulders up and down, allowing them to settle in their natural positions. Close your eyes and welcome stillness while you let the racing thoughts of the day to slow and fall away for just a few moments. You deserve to be free of the whirlpools of the mind.

We are taking an active journey together…one of peace and owning your inner light. While most meditations ask you to allow yourself to stop, in this journey, we will be active in our thoughts, in the imaginary we pull forth.  

Take a moment to set an intention for this time together… starting with the words: I am…

Once you have it, take a full deep breath, and let it go. Use your breath throughout this experience, it’s there to serve you. You do not have to force anything. Allow whatever arises to come.

Now, let’s get started.

Loving yourself is a gift. Owning your light is a gift. A gift that many reject in favor of past, hard experiences. We often forget that everything we experience is meant to be for us, not against us. And yet, every experience has the opportunity to leave its mark, even a stain, on how we feel about ourselves and how we ultimately love who we are.

With your intention, bring forth a moment you have not fully loved yourself. Perhaps it is an experience you’ve had; maybe you find yourself downgrading your physical form while standing in the mirror each morning; perhaps something has made you feel less than. Whatever has come up, bring it forth in your mind’s eye. See it and allow it to take shape. Do not push it away, be in it as you actively see the moment.

Stand on the outside, simply witnessing, and visualizing the experience. You are an observer of the moment, nothing more. When your vision is clear, take another full deep breath and let it go.

Now, recognize the emotions you’re feeling. Name them if you wish, but you do not have to do anything with them. Simply be aware of them. Is it sadness? Is it kindness, forgiveness, or upset…what is it?

As you hold the emotion in place, step forward in the vision. You are no longer the observe, but instead active in the moment. See yourself as you are then and now. Open your arms to yourself and offer whatever it is you need. Is it love? Is it forgiveness? Whatever you are in need of, allow it to flow within both forms of you. Open your arms wide, folding them around yourself.

Whisper the words: I’m sorry I did not love you the way you needed. I could only be who I was then. Now, I am allowing our light to shine. I am allowing myself to thrive.

When comfortable, imagine a small sparkle of light deep inside your chest, right in your heart center. See it. Feel it. When you do, allow it to grow brighter, consuming you in the best way possible. Feel the light expand, filling your chest, moving down your arms, and settling in the tips of your fingertips before tracing back up and moving through you to your stomach. Allow the light to spread…glowing brighter and brighter as it touches your hips and thighs and extends down to your toes. When it reaches the soles of your feet, it radiates up, touching the crown of your head. This beautiful light encompasses you.  

This wonderful, shining light is you. It’s the brilliance in which you are; no matter what has been, this light is always within you. As you visualized before, no matter what you’ve experienced, you always have the power to meet yourself, love yourself, and reclaim the light within.

When you remember and own this light within, you remember the love in which you were made, have always been, have always had, and will always share. Sharing this light is what others feel when they are in your presence. It’s the goodness that allows you to be in the flow of your most authentic self and beauty.

As this light continues to shine, feel its warmth. Feel its peace.

Allow your mind to pull forth another moment that you needed this beautiful light to hold you and remind you of everything inside of you. Offer the light to this moment. Hold space for yourself. Know that everything that has been has helped you understand what you need and want in life. Know that contrast is not negative but shows you your truest desires.

Within every challenging moment, this light is still glowing. It’s here we offer gratitude and expand. You see, in everything, there is lightness. There is possibility, and your possibilities are endless.

Shine your light in everything you experience, in everything you do.

Take another deep breath as you allow your mind to wander, infusing goodness and gratitude and putting light where there has been darkness. Feel each moment in your heart center and simply say: “Thank you for the moments that remind me I always have access to my light.”

Now, allow the images in your mind to come to a close. See nothing but the light and repeat after me:

The light I seek is always within me.

I am joy, light, and pure positive energy.

I am abundant because of the situations I’ve experienced and continue to know.

I do not force but instead, own the beautiful light in which I am.

I am now vibrating at the highest frequency of love.

I am deserving of goodness as I tune into my truest self.

Every day I am evolving.

Every day I am growing.

When I step back and look at my life and how far I’ve come, I know that I have created beauty where little may have existed.

I am light.

I own my light.

I radiate light.

Everything I do from today forward is infused with my lightness and beauty.

From now on, there’s no darkness…there’s only light.

I am ready to live a life of lightness and ease.

Sit in these truths for as long as you need. Allow them to be your guide. Then, lock them inside as you continue to hold onto the light you’ve created around and within yourself. Everything is always working in your favor. You are light.

When you are ready, slowly come back to yourself, taking a few small movements. When you are ready, open your eyes. Feel the difference within your body, within the space you are in. That is your light filling the space. Own it and never let it go again.  

Take one last full deep breath, and let it go.

You are radiate light, beautiful one.

Anytime you need a moment to come back to center. Repeat these words and lean into your truth—the truth that you are magnificent.
