Welcome to Solar Plexus chakra balancing meditation, a guided meditation to meet yourself and witness your wholeness through clearing and reclaiming your third chakra. The center of consciousness of being, personal power, self-definition, accomplishment and responsibility, will, and vital energy.

This is a continuation of our balancing charka series.

Settle in now, finding a comfortable position as you relax your shoulders down your spine, release your jaw, and let go of any tension, whether in your mind or body. As you fully settle, deepen your breath, inhaling through your nose, allowing your breath to find the bottom of your lungs, and slowly release it through your nose with a slow and steady exhale. Continue to breathe with both ease and effort.

You are taking a journey now inside your mind to meet yourself and rebalance the third chakra, the source of your strong willpower.   

Take another full deep breath and slowly let it go. If your eyes are not already closed, please close softly close them now.

Clear your mind.

As you take the next inhale, visualize yourself in your mind’s eye. Do not try to change the image that comes in; instead, see yourself as you are. Allow yourself to take up space. We are journeying through opening each charka before we balance your center of creativity.

As you see yourself fully form, let your eyes trace up and down your body.

At the base of your spine, visualize a red ball of energy forming and shining from your first chakra, the root. See the red energy spin without stopping. Now, move slightly below your navel in the second chakra, the sacral charka, and let your eyes settle for a moment. As they gaze upon your form, welcome an orange circle of light to grow and glow. Let the lights spin beautifully, without inhibition, questions, or trying to control what comes or is. Now trace your eyes to the solar plexus above the navel, in the 3rd charka. This is the center of conscious being and your personal power. Let your belly ignite with a pure yellow light, the color of the rising sun.

 Take another full breath, holding on to the image of you and the lights shining from within, and when you are ready, move to the middle of your chest, the 4th chakra, the heart. See this space filled with a brilliant hue of green. Feel its comfort. Let it wrap around you, circling your form, weaving in and out of your heart space, filling in the spaces that may feel empty.

Let your eyes trace to the middle of your throat, into the fifth chakra, the throat chakra. See yourself open your mouth, allowing a vivid blue light to flow as if singing a beautiful melody. As you inhale, inhale this rich light and exhale its beauty, allowing each in and out to be balanced, just as the words you speak are balanced from here on out.

With the spinning of the red, orange, yellow, green, and blue wheels of energy, move to the center of your forehead, the brow chakra, the third eye, and the sixth chakra. Feel the flow of energy form between your brows. See this space light up in a brilliant hue of indigo. The dark purplish hue ignites and shines across everything you see.

You are in harmony with your center of intuition, intellect, wisdom, and reflection.

Holding onto that beauty, move to the top of your head, letting a pure white light settle in the crown chakra—the 7th and final major charka.

Take a full deep breath as you honor the exquisite colors and energy tracing up and down your body and spine.

With another deep breath, settle into whatever sensations arise within you. 

The health of your Solar Plexus is vital as this is the center of feeling confident, positive, empowered, having a high sense of self-respect and self-esteem, joyful, drive, having a positive self-image, aligned with purpose, aligned with your core values, motived, and decisive. Yet, for women, this area often is ignored and shut down.

When it shuts down or is blocked, you have low self-esteem, lack ambition, are unmotivated, have low energy, hold a fear of rejection, and are sensitive to criticism, domineering, and arrogant.  

Let’s move your awareness to the soft area below your breastbone --- to your Solar Plexus now.
Breathe in and out, allowing this space to soften and expand with your inhale. Then, invite the yellow back—the brilliant rays of sunshine that flow from within and around you. As your Solar Plexus spins, the yellow light replenishes, restores, and nourishes this center of vital energy, ego, accomplishment, and personal power.

As this happens, pay attention to how you feel physically, emotionally, and mentally. Be conscious of what you are experiencing. Then, as old clutter falls away, leaving you refreshed, allow empathy to rise. Know that you can understand your feelings and share the feelings of others.

As the light continues to move, allow trust to find you. Trust that you have the power to create the light and soul connection you’ve always desired. Let it settle and sink into your soul.

Let peace come now with a slow and steady breath. Peace, otherwise known as Shanti, is a state of inner rather than outer peace—allow a state of mental and spiritual peace to settle in the yellow glow. Peace is not always perfect, yet with enough knowledge and understanding to keep oneself strong in the face of discord or stress with an open chakra, what comes in has the power to move through you. As the yellow light grows, keep the good, and release what no longer serves you.

Let pain, fear, negativity, and even suffering move up and away. Whatever arises is meant to show you what has been. Allow it to come.

Surrender to these feelings and let them flow through you.

You are beyond powerful in this moment of balance and ease. You are in control of your self-definition. So, with a positive frame, feed yourself brilliant beauty that aligns with truth, trust, and peace.

Now, with a deep breath, send energy to yourself, and repeat these Solar plexus affirmations:

I have power within.

I am aligned with my purpose.

I am a reflection of all the good in the world.

I am a powerful being.

I am bright as the sun.

I am in control of my life.

I honor myself.

I honor my needs.

I am motivated.

I am worthy of success.

I am my authentic self.

I listen, follow, and speak from my inner voice.

I am capable of thriving in my own decisions.

I am strong, powerful, and confident.

I have the courage to make my dreams a reality.

I am enough.

I have always been enough.

I will always be enough.

My soul is radiant. My body is strong. My mind is brilliant.

I am everything I need to be.

Take another deep breath and bathe yourself in this bright yellow light. 

Rest in this moment. Just be.

Offer yourself love, and gently allow the image of you to dissolve, taking with it the glowing light that lives within your physical self and your soul. It’s right inside, and anytime you feel off, weak, or incapable, you can tap into this vital energy. It is yours. It’s always there. It is you in motion.  

Take another deep breath, sending it to your toes and allowing it to circulate through every organ as it rises and leaves you.

In your own time, return to your physical form, begin to notice the sounds around you, and become aware of your physical body. Slowly allow yourself to come fully come back. Before you open yourself, know that having the intention to be root is enough. It’s a focus, and where your focus goes, so too does your mind, body, and spirit.

When you are ready, wiggle your fingers and toes, make slight movements with your shoulders, and notice how you feel. Hold yourself in loving kindness.

Take one final deep breath and gently open your eyes.
