Epi 43: I am Healing My Past - March Mini Meditation Reset

When was the last time you gave yourself a mental and emotional boost? Every once in a while, we need to reset and bring ourselves back to center. Feeding yourself positive affirmations allows you to elevate your mood, find a sense of peace, and shift your perspective to help you keep your life together, girl! The Get Your Life Together, Girl mini bi-monthly reset is here to help you reset and remember who you are.

Find a comfortable position and take a full deep breath. Gently close your eyes if it serves you. Witness the thoughts that are flowing through your mind and simply invite them to pause. Take another full deep breath, releasing anything less than stillness. Allow my words to guide you into a grounded truth—the truth that you are more than your past and that you have the power to heal at any time, regardless of what has been.

Take a full deep breath, breathing in allowing, and slowly let it go.

The past often works to own our present and our future because what has been gone unhealed and unaddressed. We tend to believe that if we simply move on, what was will fall away.

Yet, this thinking robs us of a beautiful opportunity and great expansion. The events in our lives are lessons, building blocks that teach us what we came here to learn, ways of being, our desires. Our experiences teach us contrast. It shows what we want and what we do not. In this understanding, we can go deeper and explore our needs spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Healing is not as some believe. The purpose of healing is not to erase our past; it’s to examine what has been, lean into the emotions and soften them so that we may turn them into experiences that work for us. Healing doesn’t erase; it elevates. It helps us understand our truest self—the real self—the soul self.

Take a full deep breath, and let it go.

Repeat after me:

My past has taught me emotions and thought patterns that are not my truth. What has been may have prevented me from owning my greatness, my worthiness for love, value, happiness, and true joy, but from now on, I am releasing these ideas. I know now that these thoughts do not serve me. I know now that I have the power to rewrite the story, not forget the story, but change my connection to it.

From today forward, I am leaning into healing this thought pattern by witnessing my emotions, by turning fear into strength, scarcity into abundance, misunderstanding into knowledge, disruption into a golden path, upset into power.

Every action has a reaction. Within this reaction, I have a choice. I can strengthen my power.

My past no longer has a hold of me. I offer great gratitude for the lessons. I offer appreciation for my life teaching me.

I am forever owning the power I have to direct my thoughts to what benefits my life. In this power, I seek forgiveness and offer it, too. Forgiveness, within healing, does not erase the story either. Instead, it reminds me to offer gratitude for the lesson.

Take a full deep breath and let it go.

I am actively releasing. Everything that has been, is, and will be in my life has been for me. What I may have perceived before this moment as negative has an opposite. I know darkness cannot be present without light. I cannot know negative emotions without the good. I allow myself to release resistance.

Take a full deep breath and let it go.

I release the past.

I forgive the past.

I forgive those that were a part of my hardest stories.

I forgive myself. I know now that I was the person I needed to be in those moments so that I could learn the lessons I needed to expand in my growth, nothing more, nothing less.

I release so I may purposefully step into my present with the purest intentions.

I release the struggle.

I release the pain.

I let go of the negatives.

I welcome in the expanding love of peace.

Breathe in healing, let go of anything less than love.

I AM

I am…Two of the most powerful words in any language. Words that direct our emotions and thoughts into movements that support us.

I am focused on creating a new healed story.

I am allowing my focus to be on my highest and greatest good.

I am offering forgiveness to one and all, including myself.

I am stronger than I’ve allowed myself to own.

I am releasing and cherishing that within every moment, there is something powerful for me.

I am here to write a beautiful story, to create a legacy of healed truths.

I am ready to do so freely, in the moment, in the most grounded ways.

Everything before now has taught me. I freely let it go….

I am free of my hard history.

I am focused on feeling good each and every day.

I am free to be me.

I am free.

Gratitude washes over me as I proclaim…

I AM FREE!

Anytime you need a moment to come back to center. Repeat these words and lean into your truth—the truth that you healed, and you are stronger than you’ve ever imagined yourself to be.

For this healing, I say, “Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.”
