Epi 247: Stopping Overwhelm During the Holidays
We have emotions for a reason – they’re there to tell us something. Ignoring those feelings doesn’t make them go away. They will eventually surface, and if you wait too long before addressing them, you’ll likely find yourself dealing with a sudden flood of emotions. By processing them as they come up, you allow yourself to find a healthier mindset and keep that all-consuming feeling of being overwhelmed at bay.

Epi 235: Oh Life! Grief Isn’t Only About Death
When you hear the word grief, does your mind immediately jump to the loss of a loved one?
Like joy, happiness, or even anger, grief is an emotion that is not limited to a single experience. Grief is a normal and natural emotional reaction to any change that finds you. Grief is about deep connection and the way you are processing.
Suppose you think about the many changes you’ve already experienced, whether from a job, a move, health, relationships, or whatever it may be. In that case, you may be able to see that you’ve experienced some level of grief at one time or another but may not realize that you are now using those experiences to your benefit.
Because of that, it's time we redefine grief, and learn to use it in a way that’s beneficial So, let’s take a one-on-one deep dive to do just that!
Epi 229: Why Fake Self-Care Doesn’t Work
There’s a good chance that at one point or another, you’ve either been told you need to practice some form of self-care, or you’ve actively sought out some form of care to help you maintain your life, health, and overall well-being. The biggest issue is sometimes what we choose doesn’t help! Many of us think we know what self-care is and why we need it, but let’s face it: fake self-care will not solve your problems, help you find balance, and will not serve you in the long run.
