Self-doubt is something we all experience. It doesn't matter what our background looks like, how good we are at something or lacking, self-doubt still has a way of finding its way in. Kendell wrote: “I'm dealing with self doubt. I know that I can get myself out of it, but it seems to keep coming back. I was hoping that you could provide some kind of information as to maybe a secret or a way to deal with self-doubt that is different than what I'm finding on Google.”

In today’s Mindset Reset, Lauren from South Carolina wrote, “Danielle, I’ve heard you talk about breaking everything down into facts when you are going through a hard situation. I believe you said it’s important to ask questions to find the facts, but honestly, I’m struggling with the questions! Maybe that sounds dumb, but I don’t know what to ask. I can come up with facts, but even then sometimes I feel like they aren’t facts. They are opinions or how I feel about the situation. Can you help me with the questions to make the process easier?”
Epi 260: Changing the Systems in 2024 - A Mindset Reset
In this week’s mindset reset, we look at shifting your thoughts toward what you want to create in 2024. It’s important to not look at goals, but instead look at the systems of what is working and what isn’t. Today’s mindset reset breaks it all down through a few fundamental questions to ask yourself.
Epi 253: Gentle Reminders to the Self - A Mindset Reset
Sometimes we all need gentle reminders. Reminders that tell us to feel differently than we are feeling at the moment. Reminders that breathe life into us and remind us there's nothing wrong with us. There may be wrong situations that are occurring in our lives, but we ourselves are not broken. These gentle reminders are the subject of today’s Mindset Reset.
Epi 248: Boundaries and Inner Peace During the Holidays - Mindset Reset
Today’s Mindset Reset, Tiffany S wrote in and asked: “Danielle, I have heard you talk about the need to relinquish control and let go of the fight, but I’m not going to lie to you. Sometimes, I feel like doing so makes me a pushover or a doormat. I’m worried the people around me will abuse me because they know that I’m just going to let it go. I heard you also say that we want to get into a place where we’re surrendering, but again, that makes me feel like self-respect and self-love are not possible for me if I live in both spaces. Can you help explain—maybe I’m looking at it wrong?
Epi 242: The Layers of Confidence - Mindset Reset
How would you rate your confidence from one to a ten—ten being your confidence is in everything you do, think, and feel, or a one with confidence being something you wish you could create but certainly do not have it?
Today's mindset reset is inspired by a continued conversation with Karmen L. We've been working on confidence. When we talk about confidence, often people think of this façade of being able to walk into a room and own it or not to question themselves or have doubts. No matter what you think, what you've been told, or how many times you've used your inner voice against you, that is not confidence. That is ego.
Today, we are breaking down the layers of confidence and providing evidence that you are more confident than you think!
Epi 241: Building A Mindset of Gratitude
Gratitude is more than practice. It is a true mindset, a lifestyle that impacts your mental health, relationships, and how you see and interact with the world around you. It truly is the secret sauce to everything that is good and keeps us moving forward in our lives.
So today, you and I are taking a one-on-one deep dive into gratitude. What it is, how it can be practiced, what it does to the brain and the nervous system, and how it can shift and mold the experiences that you have in your day-to-day. Grab a pen, and let’s shift into an attitude of gratitude.
Epi 236: Thinking Strageties to Get Down to the Facts - Mindset Reset
In today’s Mindset Reset, Lauren from South Carolina wrote, “Danielle, I’ve heard you talk about breaking everything down into facts when you are going through a hard situation. I believe you said it’s important to ask questions to find the facts, but honestly, I’m struggling with the questions! Maybe that sounds dumb, but I don’t know what to ask. I can come up with facts, but even then sometimes I feel like they aren’t facts. They are opinions or how I feel about the situation. Can you help me with the questions to make the process easier?”
Epi 230: Where We Screw Up Our Safety - Mindset Reset
The word safety comes up so often, whether in private sessions or here on the podcast, and there's a reason for it because everything starts and ends with your ability to feel safe. When you don’t have it, you can spiral.
In today’s Mindset Reset, I am walking you through the understanding of what happens when you don’t feel safe. There’s a true downward mental action that occurs. When you see and witness it, you empower yourself to change it.
Epi 224: Self-Esteem Audit - Mindset Reset
Today’s mindset reset comes from Sarah in Michigan. She wrote, “I used to think I had healthy self-esteem, but recently I’ve been questioning myself. I do not feel confident I can do what I want and need. I am constantly comparing myself to others, especially friends in my group. I’m triggered by small mistakes. I feel like I’m failing in every area of my life. When I said this to my mother, she said, ‘Your self-esteem is shot.’ Then, she told me all the ways I needed to stop being hard on myself, which did not help. How do I know if low self-esteem is my problem, and how can I turn it around?
Epi 223: Tuning Into Your Inner GPS
You have an inner knowing and intelligence, and if you are not using it, you may be working against yourself. Today, you and I are taking a one-on-one deep dive into how to trust your gut and tune in.
It takes inner listening, trust, and faith in your internal guidance system. When we talk about trusting ourselves, the idea of gut feelings and intention often follows.
We’re breaking it all down so we know when to listen, and most importantly, I’m giving you a few tools to use that answer how to listen.
Epi 218: Changing Your Habits - Mindset Reset
Habits are important. They are important as they really do serve us in the long run. A habit is an action we've practiced into a routine, and it's important to know that your mind works in patterns. When we practice something enough times, our mind locks it into place. Your thoughts become beliefs. Your beliefs become actions. Your actions become habits, and that's all well and good until it doesn't work for you.
Epi 217: What’s For Me?
Emotionally sound people are deliberate about how they appear in the world. They understand their belief system and their core values. Understanding your value and belief system is so essential that you cannot become emotionally resilient without it. That’s why you and I are taking a one-on-one deep dive into understanding your emotions and values. Then, I’m handing over the inner conversation people with emotional resiliency tell themselves in moments of hardship. This internal dialogue is so important that it can change how you look at life. Let’s not waste another moment and dive right in.
Epi 212: Stop Being So Offended - Mindset Reset
Sadly, we now live in a world where being offended by even the littlest thing is a standard. Yet, by not getting offended so quickly, you minimize your stress levels and open yourself up to new ideas, thought processes, emotions, and experiences.
Bella Jean from Portland, Oregon, wrote in and said: “Danielle, I have been working on growing and becoming a better person over the last year, but there’s something that I can’t quite grow out of yet. That’s not taking offense when someone questions my thoughts or feelings or when my family tells me I’m wrong because they haven’t done all the work on themselves that I have done. It’s tiring, and I want to let things slide off my shoulders, but I don’t know how. Can you help?”
Epi 206: Put A Number on It: The Scale of Importance - Mindset Reset
Let’s face it; relationships can be hard. This is especially true when we are talking about long-term, romantic relationships. When we know our partners intimately, we often tend to forecast or assume we know what they are thinking, how they will respond, what they need, want, like, you get it, all the things. Yet, that assumption or lack of discovery questions is where we first trip up and cause our own problems.
Davida from Puerto Rico wrote, “Danielle, I’ve been married for twenty-one years. We love and respect one another. However, I’ve noticed in the last two years that our communication has changed. We both have grown so much individually and within our marriage. We both consider our marriage to be solid, but we’ve begun to notice minor disagreements on things like doing the dishes or what time our oldest child has to be home are turning into bigger issues than they should be. Is there something we can do to help guide one another through these moments? I find myself mad at him and want him to respond differently. He becomes mad at me. Sometimes we talk it out. Sometimes it sits and waits for a few days. It’s not a healthy cycle. What do you suggest?”
Epi 200: Why You Must Celebrate the Small Stuff - Mindset Reset
Your mind is a thought machine. Your emotions are its support system. They work together to create action. And yet, no matter what you’ve thought in the past or even uttered, the phrase and thought pattern of “It is what it is” is both flat wrong and oddly true, all at the same time!
Now, let’s get to it. Bonnie from Seattle, Washington, wrote, "Danielle, I am hoping you can help me. My partner and I were having a conversation about not being where we want to be just yet. He has a different mindset than I do. He is much more relaxed and I am much more focused on getting to the next level. He says I’m missing the journey. I say that cliché. Is it really that important to celebrate the small stuff? I know you talk about being present, intentional, and mindful, but does all that stuff really make a difference? I think I’m asking you to convince me I’m right and he is wrong. Is that bad?”
Epi 194: What to Remember When You Don’t Feel Good Enough - Mindset Reset
Most of us experience times in our lives when we don’t feel good enough. We struggle with ourselves and wonder why life seems so much easier for everyone else.
Carolina F from Dayton, Ohio, wrote: “Danielle, I wish I could express how much I’ve learned from listening to your podcast. What I’m writing about is the one place that I can find myself back sliding into, which is the feeling of not feeling good enough. What do you suggest that we all have this thought in our heads to get out of it? Thanks for the work you do.” st is helping you get your life together! I love that you are already experiencing a difference, and to answer your question: yes! There are roughly seven key areas that have dynamic impacts on us. And you’ve already hit on one—sleep! So, let’s jump in and chat about those things. And there is good news for everyone, these impacts are some of the easiest things to change!
